Application form: Open Access publishing

The publication fund provides funding to publish articles in eligible open access journals and to publish open access monographs and chapters.

The applicant must be the corresponding author and affiliated with UiB.

Open access articles in subscription journals are no longer eligible for funding.

Please note! You do not need to apply for funding to cover article processing charges in journals published by MDPI, Frontiers or with other publishers where UiB has an open access agreement. For more information:Open access publishing agreements

Applications will be granted based on the complete guidelines: Norwegian or English.

Open Access journal

The publication fund covers up to NOK 30 000 of article processing charges (APC) in open access journals. To be eligible the journal must be registered in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

Open Access book

The publication fund covers up to NOK 100 000 to publish an open access monograph and up to NOK 30 000 to publish a chapter in an open access anthology.
